Northern Mission

Marine Wildlife Rescue & Research (Flagship Program)

Northern Right Whales and Habitat

Marine mammals and ocean wildlife, specifically North Atlantic Right Whales, face increasing threats from vessel strikes, entanglement, pollution, and climate change.

Blue Ocean Sailing Expeditions will support and conduct marine wildlife rescue, monitoring, and research, with a strong focus on whales, dolphins, turtles, and other vulnerable species.

Program Activities

  • Marine mammal monitoring and observational research

  • Whale migration tracking and documentation

  • Support for rescue and response efforts

  • Collaboration with conservation groups and researchers

  • Field reporting and data contribution

This program represents our primary conservation focus and the heart of our mission. Ocean Conservation & Pollution Monitoring. Our expeditions will provide first-hand insight into the health of marine environments.

A whale at sea is tangled in fishing gear and needs help

Sea life is under constant pressure from industry. Intervening at sea is crucial to saving whales.

Focus Areas

  • Ocean plastic and debris observation

  • Pollution monitoring and reporting

  • Environmental sampling and documentation

  • Conservation awareness through real-world evidence

By operating at sea, we are able to reach remote and under-observed regions, helping contribute valuable data and awareness.

Education at Sea – Sailing as a Classroom.

We believe education is one of the most powerful tools for conservation. Blue Ocean Sailing Expeditions turns Wild Justice into a floating classroom, offering immersive learning experiences that cannot be replicated on land.

Educational Programs Include

  • Sailing and ocean education expeditions

  • Marine biology and environmental science exposure

  • Conservation-focused mentorship

  • Experiential learning through direct participation

Students and participants gain knowledge, confidence, and a lifelong connection to the ocean.

Community, Volunteer & Outreach Programs.

Our work is made possible through the support of volunteers, educators, scientists, and partners.
